Winter Classic Tournament 3v3

Puck Drops at 9:30AM

This tournament will teams composed of 5 skaters.

Game Format

● Each game will consist of two 10-minute periods, preceded by a 2-minute warm-up.

● In the event of a tie during group play, a 2-minute sudden death 2-on-2 overtime period will be played to determine a winner. Overtime does not apply to playoff games.

Group Play

● Teams will be divided into two groups of four teams each.

● Every team will play each other team within their assigned group. Playoff Advancement & Seeding

● The top two teams from each group will automatically advance to the semi final.

● The next top four teams will compete in play-in games for the remaining playoff spots.

● All teams are guaranteed to play a minimum of three games.

Goalie Selection

● During group play, goalies will be randomly assigned to teams for each game.

● Once the final four teams are determined for the playoff bracket, goalies will be selected to remain with their respective teams for the duration of the playoffs. The selection order for goalies will be based on team seeding.

Every registration to this event will bring us closer to achieving our mission. Together, we aim to grow the sport of hockey in our community and ultimately build a rink to host our own games, leagues, and tournaments right here in coastal North Carolina.

PLEASE READ BEFORE ATTENDING:

We are playing INDOORS with a PUCK and this will require softer wheels and the MANDATORY use of protective equipment.

Players MUST wear the following protective gear during play:

Helmet, Shin Guards, Gloves,

(If you do not own one of these items, please reach out as we may be able to provide a loaner)

Additional gear is not mandatory but recommended (such as a girdle/cup, cage/full visor, elbow pads)

ALCOHOL IS PROHIBITED ON THE BOYS AND GIRLS CLUB CAMPUS (PARKING LOT INCLUDED)
